The KREDO method: a new way to write AI prompts

KREDO is our own method for building prompts: Context, Role, Editing, Action, Reference. It grew out of hundreds of prompts written during our training sessions.

Diagram of the KREDO method: five elements of a good prompt

On 5 April 2026, together with Artur Chyziewicz, we developed our own prompting method: KREDO. It is a practical tool that helps anyone, from a beginner to an advanced specialist, write effective prompts for AI models in a simple way. The method is based on hundreds of prompts we analysed during our training sessions for companies and organisations.

KREDO: what the letters stand for

The name comes from the Polish words for the five elements, which is why the letters do not match the English terms.

  • K: Kontekst (Context). Describe the situation, the background and the circumstances of the task.
  • R: Rola (Role). Say who the AI should be (an expert, an assistant, an analyst).
  • E: Edycja (Editing). Indicate what the AI should change, improve or process, and how.
  • D: Działanie (Action). Define the specific steps the AI should take.
  • O: Odniesienie (Reference). Give the sources, examples or models the AI should refer to.
