Key information

Duration1 training day
Formatin person, workshop-based
Especially recommended foroperational staff of financial market institutions, staff of legal and compliance departments, people handling client documentation and correspondence, and people preparing a decision on the scope of Microsoft 365 licences
Target groupOperational staff and legal department staff in financial market institutions, responsible for handling documentation, correspondence and internal procedures. The training does not assume previous experience with AI tools.

Training for teams working in a regulated environment who want to use Microsoft Copilot in their everyday work with documents and correspondence without stepping outside the limits set by personal data protection and professional secrecy. The workshop part is based on Microsoft Copilot Chat, available on a work account as part of a Microsoft 365 subscription, without the need to purchase the Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on.

A separate module clarifies the differences between the versions of Copilot. Participants will see what the Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on really offers, on what terms integration with the organisation’s systems is possible, and by what criteria to judge whether extending the licence pays off. This part is an overview and a decision-making session rather than a workshop, because the functions discussed go beyond the version available to participants.

During the training, participants will find out, among other things:

  • How generative AI works and how to use Microsoft Copilot on a work account
  • How the versions of Copilot differ and what the Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on really offers
  • How to build effective prompts with the KREDO method
  • How to analyse terms and conditions, contracts and procedures, and compare their versions
  • How to protect personal data and information covered by professional secrecy when working with AI
  • What conditions an organisation must meet to connect Copilot to its own systems

The training combines short theoretical introductions with exercises carried out on demonstration materials similar to the documentation encountered in financial market institutions.

Objective

The objective of the training is to familiarise participants with the capabilities of Microsoft Copilot in the operational and document-based work of a financial institution and to organise their knowledge of the differences between versions of the tool. The training covers the basics of how generative AI works, prompting with the KREDO method, drafting and analysing documents, applications in the work of a legal department, and the rules on protecting personal data, professional secrecy and the responsible use of AI in a regulated environment. The emphasis is on working within the scope available without additional licences and on critically verifying the results generated by AI.

Programme

Module 1: The basics of generative AI and Microsoft Copilot

  • Sharing participants’ experience
  • Key concepts related to how AI works (prompt, token, hallucination, context)
  • How to act in the face of false content created by AI
  • Comparison of the key AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini)
  • Data protection in Microsoft Copilot Chat on a work account

Module 2: Versions of Microsoft Copilot and integration options

  • Microsoft Copilot Chat on a work account: the scope of the version without the add-on
  • The Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on: working inside Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Access to the organisation’s data: what the basic version does not cover
  • Agents and Microsoft Copilot Studio: conditions for integration with the organisation’s systems
  • Limitations of the basic version felt in everyday work
  • Criteria for judging whether extending the licence pays off

Module 3: Prompt engineering, the KREDO method

  • Anatomy of an effective prompt, the KREDO model
  • Techniques to start with: asking AI questions, generating variants, correcting answers
  • Building prompts for operational and document-based tasks
  • Fast models versus advanced reasoning models: when to use which
  • Working in a single thread instead of starting from scratch

Module 4: Copilot in operational and office work

  • Searching for information with sources cited and verifying answers
  • Drafting letters, notes and correspondence in a given tone
  • Draft replies to client enquiries and complaints
  • Preparing internal procedures, job instructions and checklists
  • Simplifying the language of documents addressed to clients

Module 5: Working with documentation and applications in the legal department

  • Submitting documents for analysis: terms and conditions, procedures, contracts, product sheets
  • Extracting key provisions with a reference to their place in the text
  • Summarising lengthy documents for a note or a decision
  • Comparing document versions and detecting differences
  • The limits of using AI in a lawyer’s work: what always requires verification
  • Exercises on demonstration materials from the capital market

Module 6: GDPR, professional secrecy and responsible use of AI

  • What can be passed to Microsoft Copilot on a work account and what stays outside the AI tool
  • Personal data and GDPR in work with documents: purpose, scope and minimisation of processing
  • Confidential client information and professional secrecy in the context of AI tools
  • Anonymisation and pseudonymisation of content before passing it for analysis
  • The AI Act and the 4D model of responsibility: the obligations of a user of an AI system
  • Summary and Q&A session

Trainer

Franciszek Kołpanowicz is an entrepreneur and certified AI trainer who helps leaders and teams increase their effectiveness through intelligent technologies. He has been published in Rzeczpospolita, among others. He has more than 2,000 hours of work with generative AI and shares his knowledge at public events, including the “Manager in the Age of AI” training organised by Rzeczpospolita, and at the UKEN and PASE conferences.

His background in philosophy (Jagiellonian University) and his experience in IT quality control allow him to combine analytical thinking with asking the right questions. His own practical journey with AI showed him how this technology can become a real lever for growth.

Drawing on hands-on experience, he shows leaders and their teams how to use AI not only to work more efficiently but also to think more clearly and make faster business decisions. His AI training has, among other results, cut the time needed for routine analysis of multi-page legal documentation by 80%.

In his training sessions he pays particular attention to the participants themselves, drawing on their experience and needs as the work progresses. As a result, his sessions are not repetitive routine but an enriching and individual experience.

His mission is to make artificial intelligence a practical tool for business, intellectual and cultural development.

Prerequisites

The training does not require previous experience with AI tools. Basic skills in using a computer and a browser are necessary, as is an active Microsoft 365 subscription (Business or Enterprise) with a work account signed in. The Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on is not required to take part in the workshop part.

Organisational requirements on the client’s side

  • Before the training, each participant has a Microsoft 365 account set up and tested, with access to Microsoft Copilot
  • Login checked in advance on the device the participant will work on
  • One workstation per person, a laptop for each participant (their own or provided by the organiser), with no sharing
  • Stable Wi-Fi in the room, sufficient for all participants working at the same time
  • A projector or large screen for the trainer’s presentation
  • A room suitable for workshop-style work (tables, space for notes)
  • A flipchart or whiteboard with markers

Methodological note: the workshop part works exclusively with Microsoft Copilot Chat, so that within a single day participants have time to genuinely master using it in the context of their own work. Functions available in higher-tier licences are covered in Module 2 as an overview and a demonstration by the trainer.

To be confirmed before the training

Licences and access:

  • Does every participant have an active Microsoft 365 subscription (Business or Enterprise)? Microsoft Copilot Chat is available in it without a separate add-on.
  • Does every participant have their OWN account, or do participants share one account? With a shared account the exercises do not work.

Scope of content:

  • What does the organisation mean by integrating Copilot with its own systems? Working on files from Microsoft SharePoint, agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio and a connection to a transaction system are three different levels of requirements and licensing.
  • Will the groups be divided by department? If one group is operational staff and the other the legal department, we will adapt Modules 4 and 5 to each of them separately.

Participants’ technical readiness (CRITICAL):

  • Each participant must arrive with a work account signed in on their own laptop; we do not set up accounts in the room
  • Test before the training: each participant opens Microsoft Copilot and verifies that they can ask a question and receive an answer
  • Test before the training: one participant uploads several files in succession and checks after how many the tool refuses
  • If any participant does not have access, advance notice will allow us to prepare an alternative way of working

Infrastructure:

  • Stable Wi-Fi tested under load (all participants working in the browser at the same time)
